Limit use of other CNS active medications that increase fall risk including opioids. Neuro/Psych-Elderly have a much higher risk for sedation, depression, cognitive impairment and falls. Renal-Active metabolites are renally excreted. Use caution in renal impairment with initial oral dosing starting with 2 to 2.5 mg/day and titrate as tolerated.

  • Severe Precaution: Not recommended in children under 6 months due to insufficient safety information.
