Who should not take Duragesic Patch, Transdermal 72 Hours?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:


  • decreased function of the adrenal gland
  • alcohol intoxication
  • drug abuse
  • cor pulmonale
  • slow heartbeat
  • abnormally low blood pressure
  • Asthma Attack
  • decreased lung function
  • inflammatory bowel disease
  • paralysis of the intestines
  • constipation
  • severe liver disease
  • biliary and gallbladder problem
  • acute inflammation of the pancreas
  • kidney disease with reduction in kidney function
  • Coma
  • fever
  • cannot empty bladder
  • Weakened Patient
  • General Ill Health and Malnutrition
  • high pressure within the skull
  • chronic obstructive lung disease
  • MRI scan
  • Acute Pain Following Operation without Opiate Tolerance
  • history of opioid overdose
