Uses
What is Vyzulta used for?
Vyzulta (latanoprostene bunod) is commonly used to reduce increased pressure in the eye in people with either open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Vyzulta may also be used for other conditions as determined by your healthcare provider.
How does Vyzulta work (mechanism of action)?
Vyzulta is in a group of medicines called prostaglandin analogs. People with glaucoma or ocular hypertension have high intraocular pressure (IOP), or high pressure inside the eye. Having high IOP increases the risk for vision loss as well as damage to the optic nerve in the eyes. Vyzulta works by helping the fluid in the eye drain out, which helps decrease IOP.
How is Vyzulta supplied (dosage forms)?
Vyzulta is available as a 0.024% ophthalmic solution (eye drop) that is applied to the eye.
How should I store Vyzulta?
The unopened bottle of Vyzulta should be stored in the refrigerator, between 36 F to 46 F (2 C to 8 C). After you open the bottle, you can store the bottle in the refrigerator or at room temperature, between 36 F to 77 F (2 C to 25 C), for up to 8 weeks Protect from light. Do not freeze.
