This medication is used to treat nausea and vomiting that can happen due to surgery or certain stomach/intestinal problems (such as gastroenteritis). Treating vomiting quickly can keep you from getting dehydrated. Trimethobenzamide belongs to a class of drugs known as antiemetics. It works by stopping the signals in the brain that cause vomiting.Trimethobenzamide injection must not be used by children.
How to use
This medication is given by injection into a large muscle of the buttock by a health care professional. It is given as directed by your doctor, usually 3 to 4 times a day as needed. This medication should not be injected into a vein. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
