SPEAKER: I guess my first tip for a parent who has a child with narcolepsy would be to research. 100% to research, and figure out what it is you're dealing with. My second tip would be to find the proper specialist that works best with your child and their needs. My third tip would definitely be getting the sleep trackers.
There's lots of variations, lots of apps that now, electronically, track-- you can share with your doctors. The parents can also review, and we see everything in real time.
I'd also recommend using all the different technology with the alarms and things like that that we have on our phones to set your schedule, to set the alarms for medications, reminders to check their sleep schedule, check on them during the day. Things like that. Just really staying regulated with technology.
