I do too sometimes! When I sneeze and my bladder's full, uh-oh.

It's called stress incontinence. It's the most common type of urinary incontinence. And it is common. There are a lot of leaky ladies out there -- when they cough, laugh, exercise, even during sex.

The leaking caused by a weak seal between the bladder and the urethra, that's the tube where pee comes out. When your pelvic floor muscles get stretched out, like from childbirth (hello!), they no longer hold your bladder up right, so it droops down, puts pressure on your vagina and weakens that pee seal. So it's not your fault -- you've just got some weak plumbing.

It can be fixed, though! The most effective tool? Kegel exercises. Kegels are pelvic floor exercises that strengthen the muscles around your bladder and vagina. And they're great because you can do them anywhere, anytime. I'm doing them right now.

Here's how you do them. Just tighten the muscles you use when you stop peeing. And relax. Tighten! And relax.

You can also help manage leaks by cutting back on caffeinated drinks and staying at a healthy weight. Your doctor can recommend other treatments and procedures if needed. (pause) I'm still Kegeling.
