Pemetrexed/Aspirin (Greater Than 81 mg and Less Than or Equal To 325 mg) Interactions

How the interaction occurs:
Higher doses of aspirin may prevent your kidneys from removing pemetrexed from your body.
What might happen:
The amount of pemetrexed in your body may increase and cause more side effects than normally expected.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking aspirin, especially if you are taking more than 4 tablets per day. Depending upon your aspirin dose, your doctor may want you to stop taking your aspirin for a few days before and a few days after your pemetrexed treatment.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
