Sandostatin injection is used to treat the following:

Diarrhea due to Tumor of the Pancreas, Increased Size of Hands, Feet and Face, Carcinoid Syndrome

Sandostatin injection may also be used to treat:

Diarrhea with HIV, Pancreatic Tumor causing Excessive Secretion of Insulin, Increased Growth of Islet Cells of Pancreas, Carcinoid Crisis, Bleeding from Varicose Veins or Varices in the Esophagus, Chylothorax, Irritable Colon, Syndrome After Rapid Passage of Food Into Small Intestine, An Abnormal Connection Between the Stomach and Intestine, An Abnormal Passage or Connection with the Pancreas, Inadequate Absorption of Nutrients due to a Short Bowel, Diarrhea caused by Chemotherapy
