Who should not take Metoprolol Tartrate?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- pheochromocytoma
- diabetes
- low blood sugar
- depression
- myasthenia gravis, a skeletal muscle disorder
- complete heart block
- second degree atrioventricular heart block
- Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
- sick sinus syndrome
- sinus bradycardia
- sudden and serious symptoms of heart failure called acute decompensated heart failure
- Raynaud's phenomenon, a condition where blood vessels constrict too much with coldness or stress
- peripheral vascular disease
- low blood pressure
- asthma attack
- bronchospastic lung disease
- liver problems
- psoriasis
- blood circulation failure due to serious heart condition
- peripheral arterial occlusive disease
- an abnormal but slight slowing of the heart called first degree atrioventricular block
- CYP2D6 poor metabolizer
