- a blockage of the bile duct that resulting in high bilirubin levels
- fluid retention in the legs, feet, arms or hands
- chest pain

- visual sensitivity to light
- acquired chromatopsia, a change in color vision
- optic disk edema
- dry mouth
- inflammation of the lips
- headache
- diarrhea
- intense abdominal pain
- a type of bumpy skin rash called a maculopapular rash
RARE side effects

- diarrhea from an infection with Clostridium difficile bacteria
- a systemic inflammatory response called sepsis due to an infection with bacteria
- malignant melanoma, a type of skin cancer
- squamous cell carcinoma
- overactive thyroid gland
- a condition with low thyroid hormone levels
- diabetes insipidus
- decreased function of the adrenal gland
- osteomalacia, or softening of bones
- a type of blood disorder where the red blood cells burst called hemolytic anemia
- a type of blood disorder with a decrease in all types of blood cells called pancytopenia
- low blood counts due to bone marrow failure
- anemia
- a type of blood clotting disorder called disseminated intravascular coagulation
- decreased blood platelets
- very low levels of granulocytes, a type of white blood cell
- low levels of white blood cells
- suicidal thoughts
- extrapyramidal disease, a type of movement disorder
- bleeding from the retina
- changes in the visual field
- corneal opacity, a scarring disorder that results in clouding of the cornea of the eye
- sudden blindness and pain upon moving the eye

- complete heart block
- bundle branch block
- torsades de pointes, a type of abnormal heart rhythm

- prolonged QT interval on EKG
