Who should not take Lotensin?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- low amount of sodium in the blood
- dehydration
- high levels of potassium in the blood
- inherited disorder of continuing episodes of swelling
- decreased function of bone marrow
- low levels of a type of white blood cell called neutrophils
- renal artery stenosis
- low blood pressure
- liver problems
- abnormal liver function tests
- a type of allergic reaction called angioedema
- pregnancy
- hemodialysis with high-flux membrane
- a type of allergic reaction involving the intestines called intestinal angioedema
- a type of allergic reaction involving the head and neck called head and neck angioedema
- chronic kidney disease stage 4 (severe)
- chronic kidney disease stage 5 (failure)
