Necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum. NLD is a skin rash that appears on the skins, most commonly on women. It usually looks like a discolored shiny scar with violet borders and can itch and scale. Necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum is linked to blood vessel inflammation related to autoimmune factors as well as type 1 diabetes.
