Well, if the person's relapsing and aware that they are relapsing, obviously they need to immediately call their doctor or their nurse, their counselor, to get assistance. If they've stopped the medicine then they really need to consider restarting the medicine as quickly as possible.

And the main message is they've really, in most cases, struggled to get back on track in life, despite the psychosis, and often have made real progress, and that it's just really a shame to lose that with a relapse, which can be very disruptive to a person's life. If the medicine side effects are a problem, they should understand that there are many different medicines, and very often a medicine can be found at a dose that really isn't uncomfortable.

And so it may be just a matter of working with their doctor or their nurse to find a medicine that they can tolerate and for which it's easier to remain adherent.
