Another winter, another bad case of the winter blues? It might be a type of depression called SAD-- Seasonal Affective Disorder. But you can lift your spirits with these simple tips.

Get more sunlight when you can. Don't forget to wear sunscreen that's SPF 30 or higher. Stay active and social. A little alone time is fine, but too much can make you feel down. Enjoy your favorite comfort foods once in a while. Just stick to a balanced diet most of the time to give your brain a feel-good boost in the long run.

See your doctor or a psychologist if it feels like your winter blues won't let up. They'll figure out what's going on and will suggest treatments to help you feel better. And remember, spring is on its way-- eventually.
