Biography

Dr. Jacqueline Brooks, MBBCH, MRCPsych, is a full-time medical editor at WebMD, and as such, her tasks involve researching, developing story ideas, writing, editing, and reviewing content that appears on the web site.

A psychiatrist with special interest in the fields of neurology and mental health, Dr. Brooks earned her medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. She then completed her residency training on the Charing Cross Psychiatry Training Rotation in London. Her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry was cut short when she moved to the United States in 1998.

She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the United Kingdom.
